Foxit Reader is a PDF reader.Foxit Reader is notable for its short load time and small filesize, which are sometimes favorable when compared to Adobe Reader. Foxit Reader is available for 32-bit Microsoft Windows (98 up to Vista), Windows Mobile 2003 and 5.0, and Windows CE 4.2 and 5.0. Foxit Reader allows Windows 9x/ME to open Acrobat version 7 and 8 files, which the current version of Adobe's Acrobat reader for those operating systems will not. It also supports the U3 smart drive (when used with Windows 2000 or Windows XP), and there is a test version for Linux systems.
Foxit Reader displays an advertising icon on the upper right side of its main toolbar. There are several different advertisements, these may be easily disabled from the menus but the process must be repeated separately for each advertisement (a different advertisement is displayed each time the reader is opened).
